The ‘Friends’ of the church weekend this year coincides with events to commemorate the Second World War ending in Europe and celebrate 80 years of peace in our part of the world. Our events this year will include reference to this event. There will be a service in St Michael's on Thursday 8th May at 10am, all are welcome. We join churches around the nation as we ring bells at 6.30 to give thanks for peace. Our first ‘Friends’ event will be our annual Brass Band Concert at 7pm.
