Fundraising for a WARM Welcome

WARM Welcome

The winter before last, our old gas boiler at St Nicholas' died. Last winter, we got by, holding our regular services in the church hall. Still, we had hundreds of school children attending events in the very cold building—not to mention anyone else who attended carol services or Christmas Eve midnight mass. We can’t do that again this year.

The good news is, we won’t have to. A new, electric boiler, will be installed this autumn, which should heat the building and be better for the environment than the old boiler it replaces.

But, we are still short of what we need to get the work done, by about £8,000. So we are asking the wider community, who make use of the church and church hall, if you might be able to help us get the job done?

Here’s how you can help:

** Can you help by making a donation? **

You can visit our PGS (parish giving scheme) webpage, where you can make a donation. It gives the option to make a regular (monthly) or one-off donation—for one-off gifts, make sure you choose the right option. If you are a UK tax payer, the government will boost your donation by 25% at no additional cost to you, if you opt to Gift Aid it. Any amount you can give will be gratefully received. Thank you!

** Can you help spread the word? **

Share this news with your friends to help spread the word. Again, thank you. Here’s looking forward to giving you a warm welcome this winter.
