The Good Shepherd
We are a welcoming friendly church of all ages learning to love God and demonstrate His love to our neighbours. As a church we are growing and seeking God’s will for our community as we pray and study His word together.
Our hope and prayer is to see God’s kingdom come here in Arbury, King’s Hedges and Orchard Park and for lives to be transformed by the love of Jesus.
8:30am Said Holy Communion - all are welcome to join us for this simple communion service with no hymns. service lasts about 30 mins.
10am Holy Communion - All are welcome to join us for a communion service with hymns and songs. We have our young peoples group 'inside/outside'. We all start together in the church and then those who want to can go outside for the groups.
COVID safety
We are still asking that those who are attending the service continue to wear masks, even whilst we are singing. The service is projected on the screen so there are no booklets are handed out, however if you are on the mailing list you will receive the service in advance should you wish to do so. Communion is given with the wafer and the wine together, although you may just take the bread if you prefer. Refreshments are served in the church after the service.
Online services will be live streamed via Facebook and YouTube, details are on the facebook page.
The parish of Chesterton: The Good Shepherd is committed to the safeguarding of children, young people and adults. We follow the House of Bishops guidance and policies and have our own Parish Safeguarding Officer(s), PSOs. The Diocese of Ely’s safeguarding pages contain vital links and information including contacts for the Diocesan Safeguarding Advisor (DSA) who advise our PSOs. If you are concerned that a child or adult has been harmed or may be at risk of harm please contact the DSA. If you have immediate concerns about the safety of someone, please contact the police and your local authority Children or Adults Services.
