Croydon Chancel has now been re-opened while monitoring the cause of the movement continue.  This remarkable situation has been made available by a safety scaffold that has been constructed in the Crypt so if the floor continues to move, the safety scaffold  that is not in contact with the vaults ceiling can not only monitor the degree of change but also offers some degree of arrest which is why the Chancel can be re-opened without any sense of a current repair.
