St Leonard's, Little Downham

St Leonard's is a small and caring community in the heart of Little Downham. We seek to love God, love each other and love our community. We gather together for worship every Sunday morning at 11am and would be delighted for you to join us. We also aim to offer a quiet place of prayer and reflection at the heart of our village. The church is usually open for visitors during daylight hours.

We seek to engage with those around us, serving those in need, and being hospitable to all; to grow as a community that is characterised by love; and to deepen in our faith, learning ever more about the riches and wonders of God. We would love you to join us on the journey.

Safeguarding

The parish of Downham is committed to the safeguarding of children, young people and adults. We follow the House of Bishops guidance and policies and have our own Parish Safeguarding Officer (PSO). The Diocese of Ely’s safeguarding pages contain vital links and information including contacts for the Diocesan Safeguarding Advisor (DSA) who advises our PSO.

If you are concerned that a child or adult has been harmed or may be at risk of harm please contact our PSO, Helen Martindale-Rooney, via this email address: [email protected], or the Diocesan Safeguarding Advisor. The Diocesan Safeguarding Duty Phone - for reporting a concern or seeking advice - is 01353 652747.

If you have immediate concerns about the safety of someone, please contact the police and your local authority’s children or adult social care services.
