About Us

Boughton village is mentioned in the Domesday Book. There was an ancient church on the site of All Saints' Church but this was largely destroyed by fire in the 1870s, although the tower remains and is Grade 2 listed. The interior of the church was rebuilt in the nineteenth century. The church is the only community space in the village and major alterations and renovations have taken place enable the church to be used for community meetings and other events as well as a place for worship.

The village population is about 200, who enjoy a peaceful village with a large and beautiful pond in its centre, which is home to ducks, geese and swans. There is a vibrant village social life with many events going on year-round, and the villagers are very supportive of the church and its activities.
