By tradition, the concluding feast of Christmas.
On the 40th day after his birth, Mary and Joseph present the infant Jesus to God in the Temple at Jerusalem, the centre of Jewish worship. The elderly Simeon and Anna greet them, and identify this Child as the long-expected Saviour.
This is celebrated by the special Blessing and Entrance Procession with candles to begin the Mass.
Coffee, Tea, etc. afterwards in the Church Hall.
