The Association of Christian Counsellors (ACC) is providing a new service in response to the distress and suffering of many people as a result of the pandemic.
ACC’s COVID-19 Crisis Counselling Support Service is for anyone in the UK, whatever their faith, who has been bereaved during the time of the epidemic and anyone working within an NHS setting in a frontline role.
The service offers anyone who is eligible up to ten sessions of counselling on a no-fee basis from a professionally trained counsellor.
Each week we use this space to signpost different prayer and devotional resources that you might want to engage in over the coming months.
This week I commend to you a book: The Sacred Year by Michael Yankoski. One searcher’s honest and fascinating journey to encounter God through a year of spiritual practices.
Previous resources have included: The Church of England Daily Prayer App (Apple's App Store or Google Play), and; The Pray As You Go resource. The Celtic Daily Prayerbook, from the Northumbria Community. A short book: 'Quiet Time: A Practical Guide for Daily Devotions' by Intervarsity Staff. A book by Richard Foster: Prayer: Finding the Heart’s True Home. A short book: The Practice of the Presence of God by Brother Lawrence
