It is an all-age church service where everyone is valued equally.

It provides an informal environment for all-ages to explore and experience faith and worship through crafts, food (a light meal is provided) and celebration.

It describes each and every one of us as no one is perfect and each of us lead messy lives for many reasons.

It invites us to come together, making things together, eating together and celebrating God together.

Messy Church is NOT just a craft club! Messy Church is NOT just for children! Messy Church is for everyone – young & old alike, adults, children, teenagers, carers, grandparents, come as friends, families or partners.

Because these are family events and the leaders are fully involved in the different activities, all children / young people must be accompanied by an adult. We want everyone to be safe and to be able to have fun together. Come along and try us out.

Safeguarding

Our parish of St Stephen's, Cinderford as part of the Benefice of Cinderford with Littledean is committed to safeguarding children, young people and adults from harm. We follow the House of Bishops guidance and policies and have our own Benefice Safeguarding Officer (BSO). Our Diocese of Gloucester’s safeguarding pages contain vital links and information including contacts for the Diocesan Safeguarding Advisor who advises our BSO. If you are concerned that a child or adult has been harmed or may be at risk of harm please contact the BSO [Linda Blagg, [email protected]] or the Diocesan Safeguarding Advisor [contact details available on their website: https://www.gloucester.anglican.org/about-us/safeguarding/]. If you have immediate concerns about the safety of someone, please contact the police and your local authority’s children or adult social care services.
