Church of England Diocese of Gloucester Shurdington

St Paul

Welcome to the page for St Paul's Shurdington. We are part of The Greenway Benefice, which includes ourselves and our sister churches, Holy Trinity Badgeworth and St Mary's Witcombe with Bentham.  Click here for a link to the Benefice page and our other churches.

How are we being church at the moment?

Praying lots. Ringing friends and neighbours. Shopping for people. Staying home as much as we can.

Resources are available online and via email. We are livestreaming worship on our Facebook page.

Why not try saying the Lord's Prayer at noon, online or offline, from wherever you are?

Because church is still church, wherever we are. 🙏

In normal circumstances, we hold services in all three churches every Sunday, except on the 5th Sunday of the month when we often meet in Shurdington School to share worship with the school community, our sister churches and friends from Shurdington Chapel.

Services in St Paul's are usually at 9.30am.

On the third Sunday of each month we hold a service of Prayer and reflection, with tea and Cake afterwards at 4pm, either in the church hall or the church.

We also run occasional family workshops during the main service, in the church hall.

You are very welcome to come along any Sunday - you will be warmly welcomed.

Safeguarding

The parish of Shurdington: St Paul is committed to the safeguarding of children, young people and adults. We follow the House of Bishops guidance and policies and have our own Parish Safeguarding Officer(s), PSOs. The Diocese of Gloucester’s safeguarding pages contain vital links and information including contacts for the Diocesan Safeguarding Advisor (DSA) who advise our PSOs. If you are concerned that a child or adult has been harmed or may be at risk of harm please contact the DSA. If you have immediate concerns about the safety of someone, please contact the police and your local authority Children or Adults Services.
