Blue Christmas

The grief and pain of life do not have to be left at the church door at Christmas, but can sit alongside the hope and light at the heart of the Christmas message.
A Blue Christmas service is a gentle, reflective worship service for people who are grieving or have lost loved ones. Sometimes known as "The Service of the Longest Night", it is held in Western Christian churches during the Advent season, on or around the Winter Solstice, looking forward to the return of light after the darkest period.

Holy Communion with Junior Church

Every Third Sunday at for 1 hour

Common Worship Holy Communion. Junior Church for school age children takes place during this service. Children leave after the first hymn for their own bible story and related activities and rejoin their parents/carers for a blessing during communion towards the end of the service. PLEASE NOTE THE SERVICE IN CHURCH WILL BE A SHORTER SAID SERVICE OF APPROX 30 MINUTES THIS MONTH AND THE CHILDREN WILL HAVE A CHRISTMAS FOCUSED SESSION WITH GAMES IN THE CHURCH ROOM

Open Door

Monthly. Every First Sunday at for 1 hour

Children are always welcome in our church. Our monthly service specifically for all generations is the Open Door Service held on the first Sunday of the Month in Blockley church at 9:30am. It starts with breakfast, coffee and juice, followed by bible stories, singing, prayer and laughter. This month we'll be thinking about John the Baptist and making edible locust biscuits.
