St. Edward’s, Stow on the Wold, is a medieval church in the heart of the Cotswolds and is known for its iconic north door. We love doing weddings! It can be a small ceremony for just a few family and friends or you can fill the church with friends, flowers and music.
To be married at St Edward’s you or your parents need to live or have lived in the parish or benefice. Alternatively, you need a qualifying connection. You can create this connection by worshipping here once a month for six months before you are married.

How it works: The fee for a wedding service in 2025 is £581 which includes the service and the reading of banns. You can customise your service and this fee includes help in choosing words, readings, poetry and music. All our services include one or more Bible readings and the Lord’s Prayer (in languages of your choice) as part of your commitment to God and each other.
We can provide a team of bell ringers (£240) or live organ or piano music (£120). Our volunteer flower arrangers can create arrangements from £50 per pedestal. You can also bring in your own videographer, musicians, recorded music or flowers. Generally, if you have a family member or a friend who wants to sing we can our musical team can assist with accompaniment.
Please contact either Revd Karen or Elizabeth Allen to discuss your ideas for a wedding blessing. We can help you craft a service that is unique to you.
