Church of England Diocese of Gloucester Wyck Rissington

St Laurence

Welcome! Our church is open each day during daylight hours for personal prayer, or simply to sit in the peace and quiet.

Update April 2021 - We have returned to gathered services and worship twice a month. There is a Holy Communion (Book of Common Prayer) Service at 9.30 am on the second Sunday of the month and Book of Common Prayer Matins on the 4th Sunday. When singing is allowed again this is Sung Matins.

On other weeks, there are services in our other Benefice churches in Little and Great Rissington and Bourton-on-the-Water

St Laurence’s Church, which celebrated its 750th anniversary in 2019, is located in the heart of the village on the Oxfordshire and Holst Ways.

The parish of Wyck Rissington: St Laurence is committed to the safeguarding of children, young people and adults. We follow the House of Bishops guidance and policies and have our own Parish Safeguarding Officer(s), PSOs. The Diocese of Gloucester’s safeguarding pages contain vital links and information including contacts for the Diocesan Safeguarding Advisor (DSA) who advise our PSOs. If you are concerned that a child or adult has been harmed or may be at risk of harm please contact the DSA. If you have immediate concerns about the safety of someone, please contact the police and your local authority Children or Adults Services.
