Church of England Diocese of Gloucester Winchcombe Gretton Sudeley Manor and Stanley Pontlarge

St Peter's Church, Winchcombe

Welcome to the Parish of Winchcombe!

Your Church is still very active, even though all church buildings are temporarily closed during the coronavirus lockdown. We are currently streaming services online via the parish website at winchcombeparish.org.uk.

St Peter's Church, near the centre of Winchcombe, is next to the site of what was once an important abbey. In Saxon times, our town was briefly the home of the kings of Mercia. St Kenelm, a martyred prince, was buried at the abbey which became a centre of pilgrimage. Winchcombe continues to welcome a large number of visitors today.

Our main Sunday service is usually at 10.30am, followed by refreshments. We look forward to welcoming you to any of our services or other activities.
