An informal performance by our Changed Voices Choir – an inclusive group supporting young singers through voice change and musical transition. Uplifting, fun and heartwarming.
Our changed voices will be offering an informal concert following Choral Eucharist, showcasing their singing and instrumental talents. This is the first time they have organised such a concert which these wonderful young musicians will present, and all are invited to stay and attend and enjoy their talents over a cup of coffee or tea at the back of the Nave. The programme will include music by G.P. Telemann, A. Dvořák, C. Chaminade, S. Prokofiev, R. Vaughan Williams, L. Bernstein and music from Disney's Hercules.

Taizé prayer is a meditative and reflective service of music and prayer inspired by the Taizé Community in France. We would love to welcome you to this service, whether you are familiar with it or it is new to you.
The service will include some well-known chants from Taizé, Bible readings, prayers and silence, led by a small instrumental group and singing group.

Join our knowledgeable Guides for a Guided Tour exploring The Cathedral, an iconic Grade II* listed building.

Tours are charged at £6.50 per person. Please allow up to an hour for your visit.

Our informal service for toddlers and pre-schoolers takes place on the first Wednesday of each month at 10.00am. Each session of Cathedral Tots includes toys, songs, a Bible story, prayer, craft and refreshments. Cathedral Tots is a free activity, with a welcoming and relaxed community of parents/carers and young children. There is currently no requirement to book places for these services. All children must be accompanied by an adult.

Guildford Cathedral is proud to present its series of daytime Coffee Concerts, featuring an impressive variety of musical talent. From skilled solo instrumentalists to the harmonies of choirs, these concerts cater to a wide range of musical tastes, offering something special for everyone to enjoy.
Coffee will be served from 10:30 am, with the concert starting promptly at 11:15 am and concluding at 12:00 noon.

You may not know that Guildford Cathedral is home to Seasons, a fantastic on-site restaurant and café offering a delightful selection of fresh snacks and meals. The Christmas art exhibition at Guildford Cathedral is a highlight each year, featuring artwork from pupils of all ages, from nursery to sixth form. This year, schools explored the theme ‘Joy to the World’ inspired by Luke 2:10: ‘Don’t be afraid, because I am bringing you some good news. It will be a joy to all the people.’ The exhibition reflects on how Jesus brings joy and hope, even in difficult times.

Celebrating Saint Lucy’s Day with light, peace, and joy. 

Vincent Gray is a figurative sculptor known for historical figures, with works in England, Scotland, and Sweden. A Royal Society of Sculptors member since 2000, his sculptures in Chichester include John Keats and Leonard Bernstein. His latest piece, The West Africa Squadron Memorial, is at Farnham Sculpture Park.

Lucia and Starboy

Saint Lucy’s Day, celebrated on 13 December, honors Lucia of Syracuse, a martyr who helped Christians in hiding. Her name means “light,” and the day symbolizes hope during winter. In Scandinavia, girls wear white dresses and candle crowns, while boys join as “starboys” or other festive characters. The day is also marked in Italy, Saint Lucia, Hungary, and Croatia, with traditions like planting wheat to symbolize Jesus’ birth.

For ages 3-11, during the Sunday morning Eucharist, in the Library. There is also a self-service creche for younger children in the Baptistry.
