St Martin's Church, Barholm-with-Stowe

There are Four Church Services in November as it's a Five Sunday Month. 1st November at 5pm ALL SOULS, 5pm, 1st November, Barholm Would you like to hear the name of a loved one read aloud at our annual requiem service? Please email names to [email protected], text, or telephone Tel. 07484 201413; Carole will collate the names with the lists from each village (at the back of church). If you know someone who is mourning or you think this service may help, then please invite them and bring them along. We have a choir to help lead us in worship, the choir is led by Fergus Black with the St Martin's Singers of Stamford, (There will be twenty singers in the choir). Julia will accompany us at the organ. As we have done in previous years, incense will help engage all our senses and help us imagine our prayers ascending to God. There will also be an opportunity to light a candle, which is especially relevant if you don’t want names to be read aloud. This will happen before the service starts so the candles may shine brightly like prayers before us. 29th November at 9am On this First Sunday of Advent, as is the tradition, Holy Communion will be offered during the service or you’re welcome to come forward for a blessing, either way please come along and enjoy the service.
