At St Wulfram’s, following a short course, those in Y3 upwards are welcomed to receive the bread and the wine as part of our communion services.

Communion before Confirmation (after following a course of preparation) is now a common practise across the whole of the Church of England and sits alongside many of our ecumenical brothers and sisters. This course has been running at St Wulfram’s for the past 9 years and Laura and I have been delivering it for around 16 years. This course is aimed at those in Y3-7 (we will also run a confirmation group later in the year for those in Y8 and above).

This year, the Communion Club sessions will be held in church on:

Sunday 8 March straight after the 9:30am service until 11:45am

Sunday 15 March straight after the 9:30am service until 11:45am

Sunday 22 March straight after the 9:30am service until 11:45am

Saturday 4 April 10:00am – 11:15 am

The blessing of the Easter Basket containing the food for the first meal of Easter has been part of the Easter tradition for centuries, especially across Eastern Europe.

The Family Meal

We are having a Family Meal together on Holy Saturday, rather than a Seder Meal.

It’s still very much an opportunity for the whole of our church family to come together to anticipate the resurrection; and all ages are very welcome.

We gather in church at 6:00pm as usual and we’ll share some wonderful food, listening to some acoustic music while we prepare to celebrate the Easter Vigil and Service of New Light at 8:00pm.

We very much hope that you’ll make this a priority, along with all the other opportunities during Holy Week.

Tickets must be purchased before Palm Sunday (29 March) so we know how many people to cater for.

£5 per person to cover costs (children under 16: no charge). Everyone attending (including children) must have a ticket.

Tickets are available on Sunday mornings, from the Parish Office or click on the MORE INFO button below to book online.
