Focal Ministers might seem like a new thing to many of us. However, it is a really important ministry as we seek to ensure the continued spiritual and ministerial life of our parishes. As we all know, there are fewer priests available to us today and it is only through the release of those who are committed to Christian presence that we can maintain it. Richard Vickers and Corinna Langridge, our Readers, undertook the Focal Ministry course, to prepare to take up the roles at St Andrew’s Leasingham and St Edith’s Anwick. All of this with the blessing of the PCCs. Richard and Corinna were commissioned by Bishop Nicholas at Edward King Chapel on the 2nd of May. They received their certificates from Reverend Al at services in the Benefice. Please pray for Richard and Corinna and your ministry team as we seek to understand how these new ministries might encourage our Christian lives together.

St Mary's, Evedon

Welcome to St Mary's.  It is really good to welcome you to our A Church Near You website. We hope your visit will be a positive one.

We are glad that you have chosen to look at what is happening in our church and finding out about its history. If you have time please let us know what you think of the site. We hope too that you will want to visit the church and perhaps attend one of our services.

The parish of Evedon: St Mary is committed to the safeguarding of children, young people and adults. We follow the House of Bishops guidance and policies and have our own Parish Safeguarding Officer(s), PSOs. The Diocese of Lincoln’s safeguarding pages contain vital links and information including contacts for the Diocesan Safeguarding Advisor (DSA) who advise our PSOs. If you are concerned that a child or adult has been harmed or may be at risk of harm please contact the DSA. If you have immediate concerns about the safety of someone, please contact the police and your local authority Children or Adults Services.

With every blessing. Reverend Al.
