CAN YOU HELP?Snitterby village is a delightful, friendly village of around 220 inhabitants situated around 15 miles north of Lincoln. St Nicholas' church was rebuilt from medieval foundations in 1876 and is typical of the era, with a pretty brick interior and striking apse. It is the spiritual heart of this small village. But the tiny congregation needs to raise £33,000 to repair the tower, currently roped off for safety, and to replace roof timbers and drainage. Can you help raise the funds?PLANS READY...Architect's plans have already been drawn up and full building spec, in keeping with regulations for this historic, listed church, are available. Permissions (called Faculties) have been granted, but we cannot start work until the funds are in place. The vicar and churchwarden are busy with grant applications, but we also need help from the community to save their local church. LETTER & FUNDRAISINGA letter is to go out to every household in the village explaining the situation and asking for help. And one local family is already planning a local fundraising event for when Lockdown restrictions are lifted further and events may go ahead.
