About Us

WELCOME!   St Wilfrid's is the heart of the Anglican community in Alford and is a prominent building in the town.  Adjacent to the church is the Church Hall  You can also follow us on Facebook.

Our church building, which dates from the mid-14th century, is normally open every day for prayer and quiet reflection, closing in the late afternoon.

In the St Lawrence Chapel, on the far side of the church, you can sit comfortably and pray, lighting a candle if you wish. There is a prayer board where requests for prayer can be left, and/or there is a prayer request book on your right as you first enter the church. Requests for healing prayer are included in the monthly Healing Service.

An illustrated guide to the church building, and postcards, as well as souvenirs, prayer cards and a small selection of Christian literature, are on sale at the bookstall.

There are no toilets in the church, but we do have toilets in the church hall building.
