About Us
Rigsby with Ailby is one of the smallest parishes in the County, consisting of two villages joined by fields, footpaths and a bridleway, but over two miles apart by road, combined population of 16 souls.
Nevertheless the Parish Church of St James is well supported, and has a consistent small band of worshippers at the service held on the first Sunday of the month (11 am), who sing lustily - if not always tunefully - mainly traditional hymns, accompanied on the battery-powered organ. On darker mornings or gloomy days the Church is bathed in the soft glow of candlelight as there is no electricity here.
