Ashes are an ancient sign of penitence, which is an observance which represents the first day of Lent and the starting of approximately 6 weeks of fasting and penance by the marking in ash with the sign of the cross on an individuals forehead.
Holy communion also being celebrated.

Bible readings following the lectionary and hymns and prayer. Service is about 45minutes followed by refreshments and fellowship.

Meeting of Ladies in the afternoon of Wednesdays during school term time.

Service of Holy Communion for about 1 hour followed by Refreshments and fellowship.

On the 5th Sunday in a month there is a service of Holy Communion at one of the festival churches for the Wolds Gateway group.
This is were representatives from each church in the group will attend a service of Holy Communion in one of the churches that do not open on a regular basis.
