Louth Choral Society and Grimsby Philharmonic Society join together to perform Orff’s Carmina Burana in St James’s Church, Louth.
Join us for a thrilling evening of classical music in the stunning surrounds and acoustics of St James’s Church.

Doors open at 6.30pm, with the concert starting at 7pm
St James’s Church, Westgate, Louth LN11 9YE
The choirs will be opening the concert with Finzi’s ‘My Spirit Sang All Day’ and Elgar’s ‘As Torrents in Summer’ and ‘My Love Dwelt in a Northern Land’, conducted by Alison Willis. We will have a special guest appearance with world-renowned baritone, Tickets Going Fast

Christopher Maltman, accompanied by Audrey Saint-Gil on the piano. Christopher will be performing Finzi’s ‘Let us Garlands Bring’, Wagner’s ‘O du mein holder Abendstern’ and Bizet’s ‘Votre Toast’. In the second half, conducted by Karen Beer, the choirs will be presenting Orffs work with two pianos and five percussionists and our soloists will be Clare Wheat (Soprano), Rahul Jaitly (Tenor) Tom Butler (Baritone). Our accomplished pianists will be David Parker and David Beer.
