Church of England Diocese of Liverpool St. Matthew and St. James, Mossley Hill

About Us

Thank you for visiting this web site. We hope that you can also soon visit us personally so that we can properly welcome you!

Our Rector is Rev'd Alan Kennedy and we have an Assistant Clergy Rev Sally Mason

At the moment due to COVID 19 how we do church has changed.

We have an online service each Sunday at 10.00am which you can find on our Facebook page and we are now open for one service in church each Sunday at 10.00am for which you are able to book  using the Eventbrite links

Pre COVID we  offered a wide range of services some which were traditional with the organ and choir but more recently we had seen tremendous growth following the introduction of a very lively and busy morning Family service with children's groups followed by social time in our coffee bar with bacon/ sausage baps, coffee and doughnuts.

All first time visitors were offered this for free!

From the top of the tower you can survey north Wales, the Pennines and the sweep of the Mersey estuary. You can also get views of us from miles away, especially at night in December and January because our tower lights up like lantern.

The view we really enjoy is the future. We are working on the Vision for our Church plan to take us on into the 21st century as a Growing Church.

We have many lively and gifted people of all ages, wanting to be a Christian community which is open and relevant to our times.
