About Us

Holy Trinity is a light and airy Georgian church consecrated in 1794 and modified by Reilly in 1911. It is situated between the Blue Coat School and the Royal School for the Blind, and a stones throw from Penny Lane. We are a friendly, eclectic church in terms of worship and congregation, generally using Common Worship and other resources in our services which include regular Eucharists and a informal worship with the other churces within our Group Ministry Team. We welcome people of all ages to our church and the activities in our well-used church hall, and on Sunday mornings invite children aged from 3 and above to join Climbers in the Hall whilst younger children and parents can join in with Scramblers in our choir vestry

Alongside our worship we run mid week activities for children and teenager from age 5 upwards and our drama group continues the mix of ages right up to 50 something!  We run a midweek, lunchtime cafe on Wednesdays in term time where you can enjoy a light lunch with friedns whilst children can play in safety.    We have recently been given the Child Friendly Church Award and on the 2nd Sunday of the month our services are very child friendly indeed!

As we approach Easter we offer services which can be rich in tradition, such as the Stripping of the Altar on Maundy Thursday and an hour by the Cross on Good Friday afternoon - after children's workshops and a family service in the morning.  The Easter Family Communion begins with an Easter Egg hunt!.     We also run regular  Film and Food evenings, with a mix of classic and contemporary films.    After a year of focussing on our work with children, we are now looking more towards adults and their faith and have started a second bible study, 'Just one Hour' on MOnday evenings to complement the afternoon group.  Deepening - a Day for Prayer is in our programme for 16th April

We also welcome people of all ages and many traditions to Holy Trinity.
