The Alpha course is a safe space to ask life’s big questions and explore faith in an open, pressure-free environment. Lasting seven weeks, each once per week session is on Wednesdays from 7.00pm to 9.00pm in the church building and involves food (veggie options available), a short video and a small discussion group!

The previous courses have been brilliant! Our next Alpha course will begin on Wednesday 15th October 2025, and run for a further 7 weekly sessions each subsequent Wednesday.

St Mary's Wavertree

St Mary's is a recognised child-friendly church that welcomes everyone. Our regular weekly services are from 10:30am each Sunday at which light refreshments are available.  We provide for young people from primary age upwards in all our services. Also see the additional entry about our "Stay and Play" activity in "Services and Events" . 

We are committed to the safeguarding of children, young people and adults. We follow the House of Bishops guidance and policies and have our own Parish Safeguarding Officer (PSO).

St. Mary’s is accessible. The entrance is via a ramped pathway and the doors throughout the building are wide. We have an accessible toilet and the main spaces are wheelchair and scooter friendly. Do get in touch with [email protected] if you'd like any more information.

Our parish of Wavertree: St Mary is committed to safeguarding children, young people and adults from harm.
