You may have seen or heard about the fabulous Pearl of Africa Children's Choir - your child may have been part of a workshop or performance in schools / churches across the North West. This year we are hoping to bring the choir back to the area, but we need your support. Every year, we have families who host the choir (in same sex pairs) whilst they are with us. The children live with you, and are essentially part of your family for the time they are with you. It's a fantastic opportunity to find out about life and culture in Uganda, whilst it gives the choir a chance to learn more about our own ways. The children are generally in schools and evening venues from 8am until 9pm, but they will have rest days on Saturdays when they can spend time with you.If you would like to know more, or wish to host a couple of choir members from the 2026 Pearl of Africa Children's Choir please get in touch. This year's tour will be here in Ormskirk - for 17 nights! However, we are more than happy to split the nights, so if you can host for as long as you can (with a minimum of 4 nights please.)The arrival date is at this time estimated to be Sunday, 11th October 2026 and they will leave us to head north on Wednesday 28th October 2026.NB> For the safety of everyone, there are a number of conditions/safeguarding policies that we must fulfil before agreeing to hosting: these will be completed during a home visit and will be confidential. For more details, contact Dave Tonge - greenacres263@gmail.com
