What a great day was had at the annual Ormskirk Gingerbread Festival on Sunday, 12 July, 2026.Thanks to everyone who donated items, and to all of the volunteers who were present at the stall to sell items to eager buyers. Proceeds will be spilt between Queenscourt and Christ Church Aughton.
Come and join us for two exciting events at Christ Church Aughton.D-Day Remembered:The church bells will ring from 1-2pm, to kick things off. From 2-5pm, there will be free admission to view 1940s artifacts, family photos, floral display and military memorabilia. Bring your own food to enjoy a party-style picnic outside, and enjoy fun, games and music. From 6-9pm, we will have a Tea dance and Songs of the Era with Tony Ravel and Julie A. Scott, plus our very own Rob Leyland. Tea and cake refreshments will be provided and there will be an opportunity to participate in a raffle. There will not be any alcoholic drinks served, but you can bring your own. Tickets for the Tea Dance and Songs of the Era are £5 each, and are available at the Ministry Centre. All donations will be equally split between Christ Church Aughton and ‘Help the Heroes’.Tower Open Day:The church tower will be open from 10.00am until 12 noon and then 2.00pm until 4.00pm. Bring your cameras and take some great photographs. Refreshments will be served. Donations to church funds.
