The church is open for our 9 am Holy Communion service which follows the modern Common Worship service pattern and includes two Bible readings and a sermon. We sing traditional hymns accompanied by the organ.
All Christians are welcome to receive communion.
Effective March 6, 2022, coffee will be served following the service until 10:35 am. This is a great opportunity for those who attend the 9:00 am service to chat with each other and with those who are attending the service at 10:45 am. Family Service: Sunday at 10:45 am (also live-streamed on Facebook)
Long Lane
Aughton
Join our lively, family-friendly service to worship and learn more about how we can follow Jesus. Music is led by the music group, with song lyrics projected onto two screens at the front of church.
As well as a Bible reading and a sermon, there is usually a special song and item for children during the first fifteen minutes of the service, before all children and youth go to their different groups.
A Communion service is held on the last Sunday of each month. At the present time, communion is in one kind (wafer only).
Services are recorded and live-streamed. None of the cameras are facing the congregation so you need not have any worries about appearing online.
Some COVID-related notes:
- Effective February 6, 2022, it will no longer be a requirement to wear a face covering, however it is optional if you prefer to do so.
- And, while social distancing is no longer required, we want to ensure that everyone feels welcome and comfortable as they worship.
- There are no restrictions on the number of people who can attend Sunday services and you will not need to pre-book or have your temperature taken on arrival.
- We will continue to ask you to sanitize hands on arrival and when using the facilities.
Effective March 6, 2022, coffee will be served before the service begins, so plan to come early (coffee will be available between 10:00 and 10:35 am). This is a great opportunity for those who attend the 9:00 am service to stay for a chat with each other and with those who are attending the service at 10:45 am. If you're new to Christ Church, this is also a great opportunity to introduce yourself and get to know the friendly church family.

L39 5AS
United Kingdom
What's the best future you could ever imagine? There are fewer emotions more powerful than hope. But these days, hope often feels hard to come by. Where can we find a hope that wont disappoint us? 'Hope Explored' is our new course for people wanting to explore Christianity by looking at the life, death and resurrection of Jesus in Luke's gospel. This three session series shows that Christianity is about real hope; a joyful expectation for the future, based on true events in the past, which changes everything about our present.
