D-Day Remembered:
The church bells will ring from 1-2pm, to kick things off.
From 2-5pm, there will be free admission to view 1940s artifacts, family photos, floral display and military memorabilia. Bring your own food to enjoy a party-style picnic outside, and enjoy fun, games and music.
From 6-9pm, we will have a Tea dance and Songs of the Era with Tony Ravel and Julie A. Scott, plus our very own Rob Leyland. Tea and cake refreshments will be provided and there will be an opportunity to participate in a raffle. There will not be any alcoholic drinks served, but you can bring your own.
Tickets for the Tea Dance and Songs of the Era are £5 each, and are available at the Ministry Centre. All donations will be equally split between Christ Church Aughton and ‘Help the Heroes’.
Tower Open Day:The church tower will be open from 10.00am until 12 noon and then 2.00pm until 4.00pm. Bring your cameras and take some great photographs. Refreshments will be served. Donations to church funds.
