On Maundy Thursday from 7:30 - 8:30 pm, Holy Communion and foot washing will take place in the Ministry Centre, moving into Church for the final part of the service.

Maundy Thursday commemorates the Washing of the Feet and Last Supper of Jesus Christ with the Apostles. It is the fifth day of Holy Week, preceded by Ash Wednesday and followed by Good Friday.

Join our lively, all age Good Friday service to worship and learn more about how we can follow Jesus. Music is led by our talented worship band, with song lyrics projected onto two screens at the front.

All Christians are welcome to receive Holy Communion in the form of a wafer dipped in a cup of wine. For those who require a gluten free wafer, there will be a separate cup. If you prefer just to have the wafer, please let a member of the clergy know as you approach the chancel.

Join us at the clock tower for a service of witness with other Ormskirk churches, starting at noon. Tea/coffee and hot cross buns will be served in New Church House,

Join us for a time of prayer and reflection in church, as we reflect on the crucifixion and death of Jesus Christ.

Join us for an afternoon filled with fun and games for the whole family. Bring a picnic to enjoy. Weather permitting we will have use of the Christ Church Aughton School field, so please bring something to sit on. We will meet up at the Ministry Centre at Noon. Cakes and drinks will be served in the Ministry Centre from 2-3pm. Everyone welcome! If you would like to help with cake and refreshments, please see Adam, our Children and Youth Worker.

Please bring a few flowers to decorate the cross in church. When you arrive, please place them in the chicken wire on the cross.

Part-way through our gathering, children and youth go to their respective groups.

This gathering will be recorded and live-streamed. None of the cameras are facing the congregation so you will not appear online.

Plan to come early because coffee will be available between 10:00 and 10:35 am. This is a great opportunity for those who attend the 9:00 am service to stay for a chat with each other and with those who are attending the 10:45 am gathering. If you're new to Christ Church, this is also a great opportunity to introduce yourself and get to know our friendly church family.
