This service follows the modern Common Worship service pattern with two Bible readings, traditional hymns and a sermon. We have 8 bells in our church tower, however on a good day we might have only 4 or 5 of them ringing. We are looking to build a team of at least 12 bell ringers to create a more secure future for bell ringing at Christ Church. Bell ringing requires a good sense of time and rhythm, and in return it will provide a light upper body exercise and a good work out of the mind! We encourage you to join us for a short service of Morning Prayer, Monday to Thursday, at 9.00 am. Participants meet in the Upper Room at the Ministry Centre on Mondays and Wednesdays, and on Facebook and Zoom Monday - Thursday. A group for pregnant ladies, and parents with babies under 9 months of age. A chance to meet and chat over a cuppa - sharing stories and supporting one another. Cost is £2 per family.

You’re invited to join the Ormskirk Anchorhold Prayer Noon Watch group in the at Ormskirk Parish Church. After the summer, New Church House parish hall next to Ormskirk Parish Church. This Prayer Noon Watch is in addition to the morning prayer session which takes place every morning from 8:00 - 9:00.

On Maundy Thursday from 7:30 - 8:30 pm, Holy Communion and foot washing will take place in the Ministry Centre, moving into Church for the final part of the service.

Maundy Thursday commemorates the Washing of the Feet and Last Supper of Jesus Christ with the Apostles. It is the fifth day of Holy Week, preceded by Ash Wednesday and followed by Good Friday.

Step into a breathtaking lunar experience inside Ormskirk Parish Church. Moonlight Moments invites visitors to enjoy a stunning illuminated scale model of the Moon, suspended within the beautiful historic setting of the church and surrounded by atmospheric lighting that highlights its incredible detail.

Guests can also enjoy Storytime Under the Moon, where families can gather beneath the glowing installation to listen to a captivating story reading in a cosy and magical setting. Join us for a delicious cooked breakfast at Café Vista in the Ministry Centre. A full breakfast menu with lots of choices is available for you to select from and enjoy! Bring along your knitting needles and wool to Café Vista, on the 2nd and 4th Monday of each month where you can meet up with our Knit and Natter group for morning coffee and conversation. If you have any wool you'd like to donate, the Knit and Natter group would be very grateful so they can continue knitting items for various groups and charities! All are welcome! The cafe is accessible via stairs or a lift.

Our Toddler Group is run by volunteers to support the local community. Our aim is to provide a safe, relaxed, friendly and inviting space for all pre-school aged children (0-3 years) and their carers ... whether that's Dad, Mum, Grandparent or carer. There's plenty of space for the more energetic little person and quiet spaces for the smaller or more static ones. Plenty of toys, and we provide refreshments for all ages!

Due to the popularity of this Group, we operate a waiting list.

What's the best future you could ever imagine? There are fewer emotions more powerful than hope. But these days, hope often feels hard to come by. Where can we find a hope that wont disappoint us? 'Hope Explored' is a course for people wanting to explore Christianity by looking at the life, death and resurrection of Jesus in Luke's gospel. This three session series shows that Christianity is about real hope; a joyful expectation for the future, based on true events in the past, which changes everything about our present.
