We encourage you to join us for a short service of Morning Prayer, Monday to Thursday, at 9.00 am. Participants meet in the Upper Room at the Ministry Centre on Mondays and Wednesdays, and on Facebook and Zoom Monday - Thursday. Move it or Lose it exercise classes are held in the Ministry Centre every Wednesday from 10.30 – 11.30 am.

Exercising to uplifting music, the classes are a fun way for older adults to stay active, healthy and connected. Everyone is welcome as exercises can be done seated or standing.

Starting June 27, 2024, you’re invited to join the Ormskirk Anchorhold Prayer Noon Watch group at Ormskirk Parish Church. After the summer, the group will meet in the New Church House parish hall next to the church building. This Prayer Noon Watch is in addition to the morning prayer session which takes place every morning from 8:00 - 9:00.

If you're living or feeling alone and seeking companionship, join our Friday Friendship Group on Fridays at 11:00 am in Café Vista for a complimentary cup of tea /coffee and biscuits in a warm, inviting and supportive setting. The cafe is accessible via stairs or a lift.

We have 8 bells in our church tower, however on a good day we might have only 4 or 5 of them ringing. We are looking to build a team of at least 12 bell ringers to create a more secure future for bell ringing at Christ Church. Bell ringing requires a good sense of time and rhythm, and in return it will provide a light upper body exercise and a good work out of the mind! Visit the woodland, wildlife pond and poetry trail, and call in to the Cabin Cafe for tea, coffee, juice and cake. Children’s activities. Dogs are welcome.

If you are interested in playing football, Cottage Lane Mission has organized a meet up at St.Bede’s school every Monday from 8-9pm.

Relax in the calm and peace of a beautiful church building.

You can just sit quietly and listen to music or choose one of the gentle activities that will be around the church.

This is an opportunity for you to take time out from the pressures and busyness of everyday life and relax.

Feel free to pop in at any point and stay for as long or as short a time as you would like. We hope you will leave feeling refreshed in mind, body and spirit.

We welcome all ages to join us for refreshments, board games and good conversation! And if you're up for some physical activity, play a game of table football or pool. A great place to meet up with friends, and to make new ones. We meet in the main hall in the Ministry Centre every Friday at 10:00 am.

This service follows the modern Common Worship service pattern with two Bible readings, traditional hymns and a sermon. All Christians are welcome to receive communion which is currently given in the form of a wafer dipped in a cup of wine. For those who require a gluten free wafer, there is a separate cup. If you prefer the wafer only, let a member of the clergy know as you approach the chancel.

Coffee will be available between 10:00 and 10:35 am. This is a great opportunity for those who attend the 9:00 am service to stay for a chat with each other and with those who are attending the 10:45 am gathering. If you're new to Christ Church, this is also a great opportunity to introduce yourself and get to know the friendly church family.

Note: there will be no 10:45 am service on December 28. However, please join us for our Holy Communion service at 10:00 am instead!

Join our lively, all age gathering to worship and learn more about how we can follow Jesus. Music is led by our talented worship band, with song lyrics projected onto two screens at the front.

Part-way through our gathering, children and youth go to their respective groups.

We invite you to join us to pray for the life and ministry of the church, including the vacant Vicar role and the appointment of a new Youth Worker. There are two opportunities to pray with us ... first, from 12 noon -1pm, and second from 7-8pm. Both times we will be in the Ministry Centre.

Join us for a delicious cooked breakfast at Café Vista in the Ministry Centre. A full breakfast menu with lots of choices is available for you to select from and enjoy! Note: No need to pre-book, however keep in mind that last orders are taken at 11:45 am. The cafe is accessible via stairs or a lift.

Our Toddler Group is run by volunteers to support the local community. Our aim is to provide a safe, relaxed, friendly and inviting space for all pre-school aged children (0-3 years) and their carers ... whether that's Dad, Mum, Grandparent or carer. There's plenty of space for the more energetic little person and quiet spaces for the smaller or more static ones. Plenty of toys, and we provide refreshments for all ages!

Due to the popularity of this Group, we operate a waiting list.

'Hope Explored' is our new course for people wanting to explore Christianity by looking at the life, death and resurrection of Jesus in Luke's gospel.
