We encourage you to join us for a short service of Morning Prayer, Monday to Thursday, at 9.00 am. Participants meet in the Upper Room at the Ministry Centre on Mondays and Wednesdays, and on Facebook and Zoom Monday - Thursday. A recording of Morning Prayer is also available to watch on Facebook after each service.

Our Toddler Group is run by volunteers to support the local community. Our aim is to provide a safe, relaxed, friendly and inviting space for all pre-school aged children (0-3 years) and their carers ... whether that's Dad, Mum, Grandparent or carer. There's plenty of space for the more energetic little person and quiet spaces for the smaller or more static ones. Plenty of toys, and we provide refreshments for all ages!

Due to the popularity of this Group, we operate a waiting list.

Cost is £4 per family.

The café is located upstairs in the Ministry Centre and is open to everyone who enjoys hot drinks, cake, scones, toast and light lunches. Open Tues - Fri 10.30 am - 3 pm, and accessible via stairs or a lift. It is recommended to book a table through the church office ahead of your visit. Our next ‘What if…?’ course starts Wednesday, 25th February 2026 at 7pm in Christ Church Ministry Centre. This course looks at the big ‘what if?’ questions. Note: We will also hold a session (in church) on Saturday 21st March 9 am - 1pm.

Each week there’s a short talk on the weekly theme, then time for small group discussion around the weekly ‘What if?’ question. The evening will finish by 9pm.

You’re invited to join the Ormskirk Anchorhold Prayer Noon Watch group in the at Ormskirk Parish Church. After the summer, New Church House parish hall next to Ormskirk Parish Church. This Prayer Noon Watch is in addition to the morning prayer session which takes place every morning from 8:00 - 9:00.

We welcome all ages to join us for refreshments, board games and good conversation! And if you're up for some physical activity, play a game of table football or pool. A great place to meet up with friends, and to make new ones. We meet in the main hall in the Ministry Centre every Friday at 10:00 am.

If you're living or feeling alone and seeking companionship, join our Friday Friendship Group on Fridays at 11:00 am in Café Vista for a complimentary cup of tea /coffee and biscuits in a warm, inviting and supportive setting. The cafe is accessible via stairs or a lift.

Join us for a delicious cooked breakfast at Café Vista in the Ministry Centre. A full breakfast menu with lots of choices is available for you to select from and enjoy! Note: No need to pre-book, however keep in mind that last orders are taken at 11:45 am. The cafe is accessible via stairs or a lift.

This service follows the modern Common Worship service pattern with two Bible readings, traditional hymns and a sermon. Coffee will be available between 10:00 and 10:35 am. This is a great opportunity for those who attend the 9:00 am service to stay for a chat with each other and with those who are attending the 10:45 am gathering. If you're new to Christ Church, this is also a great opportunity to introduce yourself and get to know the friendly church family.

We have 8 bells in our church tower, however on a good day we might have only 4 or 5 of them ringing. We are looking to build a team of at least 12 bell ringers to create a more secure future for bell ringing at Christ Church. Bell ringing requires a good sense of time and rhythm, and in return it will provide a light upper body exercise and a good work out of the mind! Bring along your knitting needles and wool to Café Vista, on the 2nd and 4th Monday of each month where you can meet up with our Knit and Natter group for morning coffee and conversation. If you have any wool you'd like to donate, the Knit and Natter group would be very grateful so they can continue knitting items for various groups and charities! All are welcome! 'Hope Explored' is a course for people wanting to explore Christianity by looking at the life, death and resurrection of Jesus in Luke's gospel. This three session series shows that Christianity is about real hope; a joyful expectation for the future, based on true events in the past, which changes everything about our present.
