This service follows the modern Common Worship service pattern with two Bible readings, traditional hymns and a sermon. Coffee will be available between 10:00 and 10:35 am. This is a great opportunity for those who attend the 9:00 am service to stay for a chat with each other and with those who are attending the 10:45 am gathering. If you're new to Christ Church, this is also a great opportunity to introduce yourself and get to know the friendly church family.

We have 8 bells in our church tower, however on a good day we might have only 4 or 5 of them ringing. We are looking to build a team of at least 12 bell ringers to create a more secure future for bell ringing at Christ Church. Bell ringing requires a good sense of time and rhythm, and in return it will provide a light upper body exercise and a good work out of the mind! Join our lively, all age gathering to worship and learn more about how we can follow Jesus. Music is led by our talented worship band, with song lyrics projected onto two screens at the front.

Part-way through our gathering, children and youth go to their respective groups.

Night LYFE is an evening service in the Ministry Centre that's run by young people for young people (and those young at heart!) Doors open at 6:30 pm for some snacks before the evening starts with a game, followed by a time of worship led by the youth band. A talk and prayer time complete the evening. During our April 21 meeting, we will be joined by Tom Fletcher from St. John Burscough. Tom will share his story about his mission trip to Uganda in the hope that it will inspire our young people who may be turning 18 and want to go on a mission trip in 2025. Come along and hear about Tom's journey and have a great evening of worship with our young people. A short service of Morning Prayer, Monday to Thursday, at 9.15 am. Participants meet in the Upper Room at the Ministry Centre on Mondays and Wednesdays, and on Facebook and Zoom Monday - Thursday. A recording of Morning Prayer is also available to watch on Facebook after each service.

A group for pregnant ladies, and parents with babies under 9 months of age. A chance to meet and chat over a cuppa - sharing stories and supporting one another. Cost is £2 per family.

Bring along your knitting needles and wool to Café Vista, where you can meet up with our Knit and Natter group for morning coffee and conversation. If you have any wool you'd like to donate, the Knit and Natter group would be very grateful! The cost is £5 in aid local charities. All are welcome! The cafe is accessible via stairs or a lift.

A friendly and inclusive space with a wide range of activities and support for children with additional needs, their siblings, parents and careers. We are delighted that young people from Pontville School will be running a coffee and cake cafe at Cafe Vista in the Ministry Centre on Mondays starting on January 15, from 1:30 - 3:00pm until summer. We invite you to enjoy coffee and cake while helping to support these young people as they gain vital work experience for their future. The cafe is accessible via stairs or a lift.

Our Toddler Group is run by volunteers to support the local community. Our aim is to provide a safe, relaxed, friendly and inviting space for all pre-school aged children (0-3 years) and their carers ... whether that's Dad, Mum, Grandparent or carer. There's plenty of space for the more energetic little person and quiet spaces for the smaller or more static ones. Plenty of toys, and we provide refreshments for all ages!

Due to the popularity of this Group, we operate a waiting list.

Cost is £4 per family.

What's the best future you could ever imagine? There are fewer emotions more powerful than hope. But these days, hope often feels hard to come by. Where can we find a hope that wont disappoint us? 'Hope Explored' is our new course for people wanting to explore Christianity by looking at the life, death and resurrection of Jesus in Luke's gospel. This three session series shows that Christianity is about real hope; a joyful expectation for the future, based on true events in the past, which changes everything about our present.

We welcome all ages to join us for refreshments, board games and good conversation! And if you're up for some physical activity, play a game of table football or pool. A great place to meet up with friends, and to make new ones. We meet in the main hall in the Ministry Centre every Friday at 10:00 am.

If you're living or feeling alone and seeking companionship, join our Friday Friendship Group on Fridays at 11:00 am in Café Vista for a complimentary cup of tea /coffee and biscuits in a warm, inviting and supportive setting. The cafe is accessible via stairs or a lift.

Youth group for school years 5 and 6 (9 - 11 years old) meet in the Ministry Centre each Friday from 3:30 - 4:30 pm to play and spend time with friends, and to learn a new verse in the Bible to take into the week ahead.

Seniors are invited to Join us in the Ministry Centre for a three-course meal with tea/coffee, accompanied by some light piano entertainment. Cost is £5 per person. Pre-booking is essential, so please call the Church Office at 01695 424530 to reserve your spot!

We invite you to join us to pray for the life and ministry of the church, focused on our 2024 Bible Motto: Show me the right path, O Lord; point out the road for me to follow. Lead me by your truth and teach me, for you are the God who saves me. All day long I put my hope in you. Psalm 25: 4 - 5. There are two opportunities to pray with us ... first, from 12 noon -1pm, and second from 7-8pm. Both times we will be in the Ministry Centre.

An opportunity to drop-in for free refreshments and a chat with professionals about how families can be supported through the care services provided by Home Instead. The group meets every second Wednesday of the month from 1:30 – 3:30 pm. Everyone is welcome.

We are passionate about praying for others to encounter Jesus. One of the best ways to do this is to walk and pray around our local community. Please meet up with us at the Ministry Centre as we go in twos to pray for people who live on local roads, work in local businesses, those who are in schools and nursing homes, just to name a few examples.
