St Thomas Melling

Melling Church was founded by the monks of Cockersands Abbey, and a record exists that it was there before the year 1190.

The old Chapel was replaced in 1834 by the present building. The Church is dedicated to St Thomas and The Holy Rood.

AND PLEASE NOTE:

There is currently no service on the third Sunday in the month at St Thomas' but people are very welcome to attend a service in one of the other churches in the Team (please see the Latest News for details).

The fourth Sunday is a Team service and it may be Morning Prayer or Holy Communion and have a different start time so please check to see which church it is at (see the Team Service notice on the Services and Events page or the Latest News. All are welcome wherever it is!
