The Church of the Ascension celebrated it's 50th Anniversary in May 2020.  To mark this important occasion in the life of our community we had a programme of community events planned, alongside the restoration of the building.  All possible because of generous support from The National Lottery Heritage Fund.

Unfortunately, because of coronavirus restrictions the events had to be postponed.  The building work was still completed but at a slower pace than expected.  

Every year we still celebrate our Birthday on Ascension Day, with an evening service followed by refreshments. This year, 2024, it falls on Thursday May 9th.
