Hope Church Islington is in the heart of this Central London borough. We have two sites: on Westbourne Road at St David, and on Holloway Road at St Mary Magdalene. Hope Church Islington's Westbourne Road re-opened on 23 November 2013 following the complete refurbishment of the St David's building.
We are a diverse and welcoming fellowship based at two sites in the centre of Islington with a passion, from God, to be a life-changing community in inner-city London. In everything we aim to be generous in our heart and actions, obedientto Jesus and devoted to His mission.
It’s about ‘bringing hope to life’ all around us.
If you're curious about Christianity, we run Alpha three times a year, which is a fun and friendly way to find out more.
We run children’s groups and a youth club, toddler groups, café and lots of other activities. There are courses and resources on family life (children – teens – relationships and marriage), money and many other areas. Plus there’s a regular programme of bigger events, socials and community projects in the pipeline.
If you’re a student or in your 20s and 30s (& 40s) you’ll have the opportunity to meet lots of new people and get involved in our socials. We’re planning a brand new and exciting evening service later this year so watch this space.
Life Groups meet during the week at various places and times. Usually including food, they provide an opportunity to build friendships at Hope Church Islington; they are also a great way of reaching into our local area.
On Sundays there are many options including contemporary worship, teaching, ministry and plenty of tea, coffee and cake! There’s also space for a more traditional contemplative approach.
Why not check out one of our services at either of our sites: Holloway Road – St Mary Magdalene and Westbourne Road – St David.
As and when you wish to get involved there’ll be a wide variety of opportunities to join in.
So come and explore how you could become part of an exciting story, helping bring hope to life around you! It’s fun, it’s significant, it’s fulfilling and potentially life-changing.
