Church of England Diocese of London Twickenham

St Mary's Twickenham

St Mary's is a welcoming and inclusive church where we hope people coming for the first time will feel at home. We welcome people of all ages to any of our services. St Mary's has signed up to 'Inclusive Church'.

St Mary's is a church which seeks to:

* Use our buildings more effectively to help make God more real for the people of this area.

* Nurture our relationships with God and with each other.

* Nurture our children and young people with a positive sense of God

The parish of St Mary the Virgin Twickenham is committed to the safeguarding of children, young people and adults. We follow the House of Bishops guidance and policies and have our own Parish Safeguarding Officers, PSOs. The Diocese of London’s safeguarding pages contain vital links and information including contacts for the Diocesan Safeguarding Advisor (DSA) who advise our PSOs. If you are concerned that a child or adult has been harmed or may be at risk of harm please contact the DSA. If you have immediate concerns about the safety of someone, please contact the police and your local authority Children or Adults Services.

St Mary's Parish Church, Church Street, Twickenham

The Church will be open on Sundays at 9.30 am for the Celebration of the Holy Eucharist with music from the organ and parish choir.

You can now choose to be in church in any size group, and within those groups you can agree how much you want to 'socially distance'. You can sit together but do not have to do so.

However, while inside St Mary’s buildings, we ask you to consider the sensitivities and health of all your fellow worshippers. You are strongly encouraged to:
- wear a face covering (unless exempt)
- use our hand sanitisers
- keep at least 1 metre apart from those who are not in your group
- please donate by cash or card to the offertory collection when entering or leaving
- for services with congregational hymns, please sing softly and wear a face mask

Holy Communion will be offered through consecrated bread only
