Lent Discussion Groups

Occurring
Every Monday at for 2 hours
Venue
St Mary's Twickenham
Address
St Mary's Parish Church, Church Street, Twickenham, TW1 3NJ, United Kingdom

Join our sequence of discussions about key aspects of the Christian faith, ideal for those wanting to ask questions and learn more about how Jesus calls us to love and to witness in His world.

This year we will be looking at five key aspects of the life of St Francis of Assisi, to help us consider our own experience of faith and following of Christ. We will also be considering how the Church invites us to experience different aspects of Jesus' ministry to us through the services we will be offering during Holy Week.

Session will take place on Monday evenings, beginning on 23 February at 7.30 pm in church.

The evening will begin with a talk given by one of our priests Jeff or Donna, followed by discussion groups, a time for refreshments, a feed-back session and then a chance to reflect and pray together.

Do please come along, we would love to see you there!

St Mary's is a church which seeks to:

* Use our buildings more effectively to help make God more real for the people of this area.

* Nurture our relationships with God and with each other.

* Nurture our children and young people with a positive sense of God

Our Services and events that are organised by St Mary's are shown on this website. We are delighted that many outside organisations use our church and hall to serve the wider community - details of other events hosted at St Mary's can be found  on our own website: https://www.stmarytwick.org.uk

We follow the House of Bishops guidance and policies and have our own Parish Safeguarding Officers, PSOs. The Diocese of London’s safeguarding pages contain vital links and information including contacts for the Diocesan Safeguarding Advisor (DSA) who advise our PSOs. If you are concerned that a child or adult has been harmed or may be at risk of harm please contact the DSA. If you have immediate concerns about the safety of someone, please contact the police and your local authority Children or Adults Services.
