ASH WEDNESDAY SERVICE, 7PM, WEDNESDAY 18TH FEBRUARY
We mark the beginning of our journey through Lent with this moving evening service, when we are marked with an ash cross on our forehead.  It is a night to remember the ways we have all failed to live in loving ways, and ask for God’s forgiveness.  Then, over the following weeks of Lent, we seek a deeper understanding of how God calls us to live.

LENT HOME GROUPS
In Lent, we are invited to pause and explore how our lives can be shaped more truly by our faith in Jesus Christ. We reflect Jesus’ own life and teachings, and how we are called to live as followers of Christ. In our Lent Home Groups this year, we explore the meaning and significance of “The Beatitudes”: the eight sayings of Christ in Matthew’s Gospel which form the heart of the Sermon on the Mount. Through Lent, the Home Groups meet weekly at the Vicarage: 7.30pm on Tuesdays and 1.30pm on Wednesday. All are welcome to join in, as and when you can.

HOLY WEEK OBSERVANCE
Palm Sunday (29th March) 10am meeting at The Gryphon for the Procession of the Palms
Holy Monday, 7pm Stations of the Cross
Holy Tuesday, 7pm “Final Words” meditation
Holy Wednesday, 7pm Stations of the Cross
Maundy Thursday, 7pm Eucharist and Vigil
Good Friday, 2pm Final Hour

Our parish of St Peter Grange Park is committed to safeguarding children, young people and adults from harm. We follow the House of Bishops guidance and policies and our Diocese of London’s safeguarding pages contain vital links and information including contacts for the Diocesan Safeguarding Advisor. We are currently recruiting a replacement Parish Safeguarding Officer (PSO). If you are concerned that a child or adult has been harmed or may be at risk of harm please contact the Vicar, The Revd Poppy Hughes on 07718 149 230 or Michelle Burns, London Diocese Safeguarding Advisor (Edmonton Area) at michelle.burns@london.anglican.org or by calling 020 3837 5082. If you have immediate concerns about the safety of someone, please contact the police and your local authority’s children or adult social care services.
