St Martin’s Seven Sacraments Installation - Open Evening with the artists:

Occurring
for 1 hour, 30 mins
Venue
St Martin
Address
Mortimer Road Kensal Rise London, NW10 5SN, United Kingdom

You are warmly invited to an open evening to see, hear and practice the processes used in our Seven Sacraments installation. The artists will talk, briefly, about the aims and objectives behind their temporary intervention in the building and life of the people of the St Martin’s community. Come and ask any questions this provokes or comment about the art and its themes.
There will be an opportunity to try calligraphy with Pansy Cambell, rapid wordplay with Rick Leaf and explore the Frottage techniques Mark Cazalet used to make the visuals for their piece. Bring your smart phone to scan the QR codes for each banner that will enable you to hear the choir sing beautiful musical settings of Rick’s Haikus composed by Juliet Bowerman.

The new banners at St Martin’s Church are part of the Seven Sacraments Project, using poetry, imagery, and light to explore the sacraments and enrich worship. They invite reflection, prayer, and engagement with spiritual life of the community.
