Easter Sunday 2025 - Christ is Risen, He is Risen indeed, alleluia!. Our Easter Eucharist began outside the Church where we saw the blossoming of our large wooden cross with flowers from our gardens. With the Easter Fire we lit our 2025 Paschal Candle representing Christ's light in the year ahead. We processed into Church declaring the 'light of Christ' with all responding 'thanks be to God'. The celebration was led by our choir and this was the 3rd service of the day with a busy 8am BCP and a sunrise eucharist. Easter Day capped a sombre Holy Week where we washed each others' feet on Maundy Thursday. On Good Friday, the choir sang St John's Passion before visiting the stations of the cross using Jonathan Hutchins' paintings for quiet reflection. Finally on Holy Saturday we welcomed new members to St Mary's through baptism at St Paul's cathedral.
St. Mary's is currently in a period of interregnum as of June 2024, following the departure of the Rev James Power from the parish after 10 years. During this time, we have the support of two associate priests, Reverend Alison Christian and Reverend Graham Dale.
