About Us

St Paul's Knightsbridge is an Anglican Church in London's West End, one of the most beautiful Victorian Churches in London. Set in the heart of the Grosvenor Estate in Belgravia, St Paul's dates from 1843. Its founding fathers were in the vanguard of the Oxford Movement, a 19th century wave of renewal in the Church of England that set the sacramental presence of God at the heart of the Church's life and outreach. Over a century and a half later St Paul's remains true to that vision and tradition, a place where God is encountered in "˜the beauty of holiness', in honesty of preaching and discussion and in the lives of those who seek to pursue the love of God and God's word in daily living. We are part of the Anglican Diocese of London, the largest of the Church of England's dioceses, serving 3.3m Londoners north of the River Thames.

St Paul's is home to a varied and friendly community that reflects, in its own diversity, the diversity of the city in which it is set. Some of those who pass through its doors live and work locally in Belgravia and Knightsbridge. Others travel to the place from further afield because within its doors they sense presence, purpose and challenge – whether students coming to London from afar, young professional adults who, in busy lives, seek deeper values and a better way of living, the recently married, people with young families, those in established careers or ways of life, or an older generation who find anew time to pray. Some are married, many single; many British, others from overseas; black, white, young, old: all of those who come find friendship and the challenge of being part of a community seeking God's will.

You can call in to pray any time. Although our doors are open  as far as possible  every day, Sunday is our main day for gathering and worship. WE ARE CURRENTLY RUNNING A TRUNCATED WEEKLY PROGRAMME BECAUSE OF COVID. We advise you to visit our website for details of services and other events.  <div>

[Whether you are drawn to the quiet simplicity of the 9 o'clock Low Mass, to the monthly Family Mass at 9 on the first Sunday of the month, to the dramatic music, ceremonial and preaching at 11 o'clock's Solemn Eucharist, or to the quiet reflection at the day's end at 6 o'clock Evening Prayer, we are sure you will find something that suits your temperament and loves. And these Sunday gatherings are augmented by regular Study Groups, Retreats and Quiet Days. Each weekday, Monday to Saturday, there is Daily Prayer and a Low Mass.]
