Church of England Diocese of Manchester Eccles

Eccles Parish Church

Our Sunday morning service will start at 11:15am.

We have a short Communion service on alternate Thursdays at 10.15am with a service of morning prayer on the alternate Thursday. This is followed by refreshments at the Place of Welcome in the Bridgewater Room.

We are live-streaming our Sunday services on Facebook please "like" us at Eccles Parish Church St Marys

We are the Anglican Church in this parish which covers Eccles Town Centre and Ellesmere Park. Within the Eccles Team our sister churches are St Paul's Monton, St Andrew's Eccles and Christ Church Patricroft.

Thank you to everyone in our community for helping us to make it through this difficult time; in the same way, we are here for you. We give thanks to God that we are being carried through this time of great uncertainty. People of faith are constantly aware of how much we need His love, His grace, His strength and power working through us especially on these toughest of days

Due to the continuing Coronavirus Pandemic

- We still provide hand sanitiser at the entry into the church

- The service will be presented on a screen but Hymn books are available on request.  As from the 11/12/2022 the screen will no longer be used and books will be used for the foreseeable future

- Instead of shaking hands during the peace a little wave will be used

- social distancing is not mandatory but is advised during busy times.

"The parish of Eccles: St Mary the Virgin is committed to the safeguarding of children, young people and adults. We follow the House of Bishops guidance and policies and have our own Parish Safeguarding Officer(s), PSOs. The Diocese of Manchester’s safeguarding pages contain vital links and information including contacts for the Diocesan Safeguarding Advisor (DSA) who advise our PSOs. If you are concerned that a child or adult has been harmed or may be at risk of harm please contact the DSA. If you have immediate concerns about the safety of someone, please contact the police and your local authority Children or Adults Services."
