St James & Emmanuel Churches have been the heart of the south Manchester suburb of Didsbury for over 775 years. We are a fully inclusive and LGBTQI+ welcoming evangelical church with four vibrant congregations catering for wide range of church traditions. We are the lead partner in the St James & Emmanuel Academy Trust of four primary schools. St James, with a stunningly beautiful building and churchyard, is popular venue for weddings. While Emmanuel, with its flexible building in the heart of Didsbury is a regular host for concerts, plays and other important civic and pastoral services. A diverse and thoughtful community of Christians who believe in a church for everyone and have a real and lively faith.
