Church of England Diocese of Manchester Saint James' Ashworth

St James

We are an inclusive church and welcome all to our Book of Common Prayer services.

Our services are offer a warm and friendly atmosphere with singing supported by our choir and organist.

In this rural church you will find a friendly group who enjoy afternoon teas, walks, jazz concerts and more.

We believe the love of Jesus Christ is for all and as such we look to share the gift of God's love with all.

We work in the Benefice with the other two churches – St Paul’s, Norden and St Michael's Bamford

The parish of Ashworth: St James is committed to the safeguarding of children, young people and adults. We follow the House of Bishops guidance and policies and have our own Parish Safeguarding Officer(s), PSOs. The Diocese of Manchester’s safeguarding pages contain vital links and information including contacts for the Diocesan Safeguarding Advisor (DSA) who advise our PSOs. If you are concerned that a child or adult has been harmed or may be at risk of harm please contact the DSA. If you have immediate concerns about the safety of someone, please contact the police and your local authority Children or Adults Services.
