Getting here

St Chad's, also known as Rochdale Parish Church, is on Sparrow Hill (postcode OL16 1QT) and tells the town's story from Saxon times.  Built and rebuilt over the generations, it has stonework dating back to the 13th and 14th centuries, a wall in the churchyard reputed to be pre-1066 and splendid stained glass that includes the Edward Burne-Jones 'Faith Hope and Charity' window in the tower. This is a place where worship has taken place over many centuries and you are invited to come alongand experience a warm welcome.

St Mary in the Baum is on St Mary's Gate (postcode OL16 1DZ) and was founded in 1740 as a chapel of ease of St Chad's to minister to the people living north of the River Roch.  Today's church opened in 1911; it was designed by eminent church architect Sir Ninian Comper and is described as "a place rich in Comperisms".

Why not come and join these friendly communities for worship in these beautiful places?
