St Peter's

A small friendly church. Here since 1879. We are a supportive and loving Christian community.

In 2016 the two Westleigh parishes of St Peter and St Paul entered into mission partnership with the parish of St Mary the Virgin in Leigh town centre. The three parishes work closely together in mission to develop a thriving Christian presence in the town of Leigh.

We hold our main Sunday Service at 9.30AM each Sunday morning. On the first Sunday of the month we hold our Family Time Eucharist. This begins at 9.30am and is a simpler service more suitable for children and young families. Some of our children help lead worship at this service.

You can find us on Facebook - St Peter’s Church Westleigh.

Safeguarding. St Peter’s Church is committed to the safeguarding of children, young people and adults. We follow the House of Bishops guidance and policies and have our own Parish Safeguarding Officer, PSO. The Diocese of Manchester’s safeguarding pages contain vital links and information including contacts for the Diocesan Safeguarding Advisor (DSA) who advise our PSO. If you are concerned that a child or adult has been harmed or may be at risk of harm please contact the DSA. If you have immediate concerns about the safety of someone, please contact the police and your local authority Children or Adults Services.
