It will be open again from 1pm on Sunday 21 September, following usual morning service. The weekend ends with "Songs of Praise" in church at 4pm on Sunday. The theme will be Architecture. Expect to see displays on the church going back to its opening in 1864, and going forward as we plan for future work to ensure its sustainability to serve the town and its people for coming generations. Expect to find refreshments and guides on hand. Expect to see banners in church from local primary schools, and church records going back in history. Expect fun activities for all ages including hearing the historic pipe organ playing.

We are taking part in this national scheme to explore and celebrate our diverse heritage. 5000 events across the nation will be providing countless opportunites for more people to come together and enjoy, often surprising, always interesting, doorstep discoveries! Our sister church, St Mary's near Close Park, will be open in a similar way the previous weekend, 12-14 September.

We look forward to welcoming you.
