Choral Eucharist for the Feast of Corpus Christi

Occurring
for 1 hour
Venue
Newcastle Cathedral
Address
St Nicholas Square Newcastle, NE1 1PF, United Kingdom

Join us on the Thursday after Trinity Sunday, 60 days after the start of Easter, for the Feast of Corpus Christi, which means ‘Body of Christ’. On this day, we give thanks for the sacramental gifts of Christ’s body and blood in Holy Communion. Jesus Christ invited his disciples at the Last Supper to remember him whenever they shared in the bread and wine together, and we continue to do that today whenever we share in Holy Communion.

This service will also be live-streamed at newcastlecathedral.org.uk/whats-on

Its striking 15th-century Lantern Tower, a landmark visible across the city, has guided generations to its doors. Located in the city centre, the Cathedral offers daily services, including morning prayer, Eucharist, and choral worship, as well as opportunities for quiet reflection. Clergy and volunteers serve the community with warmth and dedication, supporting all who seek faith or fellowship. Visitors can explore historic architecture, enjoy a peaceful atmosphere, and take part in events celebrating creativity, justice and hope. All are warmly invited to join in worship and community life.
