Church of England Diocese of Newcastle Wark

St Michael

Welcome to the Parish of St Michael Wark, one of the Greenwich Hospital churches in Northumberland which were all opened in 1818. We are a small but faithful congregation offering a warm welcome to all visitors. During the Pandemic there have been fewer services than normal. As we are currently in vacancy, along with much of Bellingham Deanery, we are all sharing together in worship over this beautiful area of Northumberland. Please look at the various websites for news of services.

For more information contact the Area Dean: Reverend Sarah Lunn : [email protected]

The parish of Wark: St Michael is committed to the safeguarding of children, young people and adults. We follow the House of Bishops guidance and policies and have our own Parish Safeguarding Officer(s), PSOs. The Diocese of Newcastle’s safeguarding pages contain vital links and information including contacts for the Diocesan Safeguarding Advisor (DSA) who advise our PSOs. If you are concerned that a child or adult has been harmed or may be at risk of harm please contact the DSA. If you have immediate concerns about the safety of someone, please contact the police and your local authority Children or Adults Services."
